I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and efforts on the
Discover Dixie vendor exhibition last Thursday. It gave our new Curves some
great contacts with potential new members. We don't know the dollar amount
generated as yet -- we did get several names and phone numbers -- and are
making several appointments.

In starting a new business, getting the "word" out is probably the most
difficult aspect. Discover Dixie gave us additional exposure. We would
certainly like to be included again next year. It seemed to be a successful
event for all!

Thanks again for letting us join in at the last minute. Your efforts were
certainly appreciated.

My name is Kathy Graham, Home Loan Consultant for Regions Mortgage. I have participated in Discover Dixie for the past two years and will be a sponsor for this year’s event.

I am a resident of PRP and have a mortgage office in Shively. The South End of Louisville has always been home for me, and the opportunity to grow my business in this area is extremely important to me. I want my friends and neighbors to know that I sincerely want to be their first choice when it comes to purchasing or refinancing a home.

Discover Dixie Business Showcase gives me the exposure I need to reach the South End people which I so enjoy working with. Discover Dixie also allows me to network with other business people in the area, which is a vital part of my referral business. This event is a great way for area businesses to pull together and show our community how important they are to the success and growth of the PRP/Shively/Valley Station area.

When we decided to start our own business a year ago we had no idea that we would be as busy as we are less than one year in business. Much of our business has come from the PRP Business Association and Discover Dixie Business Showcase. Last August just after we decided to start the business we were invited to attend a PRP Business Association Meeting. I attended the first meeting at Shively Park in August and joined the Association. We also signed up for a booth at Discover Dixie. We thought this would be a great way to get our name out in the area. We sent out menu packets to over 50 people who signed up for them at Discover Dixie last year. We catered several Christmas events last year for businesses that signed up to receive information at Discover Dixie.

This year we have done many jobs from the contacts that we made with individuals and businesses at Discover Dixie. We are looking forward to being a part of Discover Dixie again this year, it has been the only public advertisement that we have done for our first year in business.
